A vindictive woman told so many lies about her completely innocent ex-boyfriend that he ‘just wanted police to shoot him dead’.
The man from Yorkshire twice ended up in prison and suffered the horror of armed police and a helicopter at his home in the early hours because of her lies. Compulsive liar Kirsty Barr pretended that she had been attacked by him.
She falsely claimed that the man, who does not want to be named, had menaced her with a knife and gun, Hull Live reports. He spent 56 days in prison because of Barr’s lies and could easily have been shot dead by police if he had reacted in the wrong way to the armed response, Hull Crown Court heard.
