Severe Parental Alienation

Untangling the Psychopathology of the Alienated Child in Severe Parental Alienation

Laurence Norwin-Allen (2018

In the UK, and probably the rest of the world, the Targeted Parent (TP) has to educate not only Mental Health Professionals, but also the Police, Judges, Lawyers, Social Workers, CAFCASS, Teachers and Politicians to name a few. I am trained, qualified and experienced as a Teacher; I am a Registered Secondary School Teacher in the UK (Reg. No. 01/11873). I have a Doctoral Level qualification in Strategic Management. I also have the Cert. Ed for Further and Adult Education and two other Teaching qualifications, so I am writing this to help other Targeted Parents, as well as Professionals concerned with children. It is about what happens to our children as they are Alienated by another adult who I will call the Alienating Parent (AP), though it may be any adult who has time with the children, not just  parents. It was wrongly thought about 40 years ago that this Child Psychological Abuse was a gendered crime, as the only
known
public cases were perpetrated by women. Ira Daniel Turkat PhD even published his findings in the Journal of Family Violence (1995) https://pdfs.semanticscholar.org/9a3f/8a9850d962f225c440cf6dd3b69216ba75e2.pdf
It is now known that this crime is NOT gendered.
