I sat around waiting for too many years for my grown up children to return so I could go on holiday with them, I took many holidays on my own whilst they were young and my ex would no allow me to see or speak to them.
Looking back I should have used my holiday time to do something amazing and inspiring like overseas voluntary work.
Overseas voluntary work can last a couple of weeks to a year. It’s common for students and graduates to make a voluntary position the purpose of a gap year, especially during or after their studies.
