Is There A Point?

Is there any point buying presents for an alienated child?

I often get asked this question.

Over the years I tried to take presents and sent cards to my own children, they said they never received them!

My mother and siblings sent cards at birthdays and Christmas which were never received. My mother even had presents returned.

I saved presents for my grandson over the years in a memory box I kept for him. I am one of the lucky ones who had the opportunity to give him the box with all the cards and cheques I had written to him. Sadly his grandfather stole the box with all the cards and told my grandson he had thrown it away!! Very disturbed.

This year I asked my daughter by text what my grand daughter would like, no reply until I said I would just send something. Then surprise surprise she requested a wet suit which I sent by post with tracked delivery. Upon arrival I got a thumbs up on what’s app, then BLOCKED!!!

Nothing since! What happened to common courtesy, politeness and manners????
