Q & A – What is perspecticide?

Perspecticide is a neologism used to describe the act of deliberately and systematically destroying or distorting another person’s perspective. It is often used in the context of political or ideological debates, where one party attempts to discredit the other’s point of view by attacking their beliefs or values.

Examples of Perspecticide

1. A husband who constantly belittles his wife in public, making her feel embarrassed and ashamed of her opinions and ideas.

2. A parent who constantly criticizes their child, making them feel like they are not good enough and will never measure up.

3. A boss who publicly humiliates their employees, making them feel like they are not capable of doing their job.

4. A friend who constantly puts down another friend.
