INVALIDATION AND PERSPECTICIDE

Invalidation is the process of rejecting, ignoring, or denying someone’s thoughts, feelings, or experiences. It is a form of emotional abuse that can be damaging to a person’s mental health and self-esteem. It can lead to feelings of worthlessness, insecurity, and depression.

Perspecticide is the process of attempting to control or manipulate another person’s perspective. It is a form of psychological manipulation that is used to gain power and control over another person. It involves manipulating

Invalidation:

-Telling someone that their feelings are wrong or not valid.

-Ignoring someone’s feelings or experiences.

-Making fun of someone’s feelings or experiences.

-Discounting someone’s feelings or experiences.

Perspecticide:

-Trying to force someone to see things from your perspective.

-Manipulating someone into believing your perspective is the only valid one.

-Using guilt or shame to make someone accept your point of view
